I use play therapy as a way to understand a child’s experience and help them process through their presenting issues. Play is the language of children and the toys are their words (www.A4pt.org). I also acknowledge the importance of the caregiver in the child’s healing and include them as a key part of the therapeutic journey. In my work with families I use a variety of directive and non directive play therapy modalities. During the assessment phase of treatment we will determine what best meets the goals of our work together I am trained to diagnose and treat young children through the DC 0-5 diagnostic manual. I have extensive training in a wide range of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
